Medieval walls and a crenellated tower, the sound of the wind, views over the Val di Non, and the ghost of a knight.
The presence of Cristoforo Reifer still lingers among the castle ruins. In the mid-1400s, the knight was struck by bouts of madness and tried to kill his third wife, Orsola, convinced she was unfaithful.
A few rules that are always worth repeating: keep your dog on a leash, pack your trash back in your backpack, and mind your step on the tower stairs. Please remember that the walls are historical artifacts protected by Italian law—do not damage them.
The castle is always open and entry is free. The bus stop is right out front.
